have taken the challenge to play against UT
SHPE (students).
Come and join us for our long-standing
tradition!
Teams will be co-ed, with at least 2 girls
on each team.
Food and drinks will served to everyone! BBQ
will be catered by Pok-E-Jo's.

Join SHPE Austin in giving back to the Austin community
by helping to improve living conditions for an elderly couple.
All skills and helping hands are needed!!
This activity is being organized by the Austin
Area Interreligious Ministries (AAIM) and the
SHPE-UT student chapter.
Note: Breakfast and lunch will be
provided to all volunteers.
All volunteers are to meet promptly at 8 AM
at the AAIM office park: 701
Tillery St,
Austin, TX 78702
Breakfast will be served there an instructions
will be given. We will then go to the actual
site where the renovations will take place.

$1,000 scholarships for the Fall 2008 semester.

and corporate representatives from around the U.S.
travel to a host city each year. Attendees take
advantage of a comprehensive conference program,
including: workshops, technical competitions, career
fair, tours of corporate centers, hospitality
suites, gala banquet, and much more.

We had a great turnout at our 2007
Fall BBQ Social!
SHPE Austin members and their families came over
to Emma Long Park to enjoy a beautiful day, where
everyone brought a dish of their own. We had homemade
guacamole, chile con queso, marinated fajitas,
cesina, and cebollitas asadas! We also had a few
games of beach volleyball with plenty of spur
stickers to make the game a bit more interesting
;-)

high school and 3 college students as scholarship
recipients for the SHPE Austin 2007 Scholarship
Program. All students are currently enrolled
as undergraduates at The
University of Texas at Austin, pursuing careers
in science and engineering. Each recipient received
$1,000.
